Site Opening Blurbs for October 2002 - February 2003

24 February 2003

Excellent :) Finally my housing's been sorted out!! Now I have a place to live next term! That is -- if I'm still in Waterloo! They're trying to kill me!!!! Arrgghh!!!

20 February 2003

Guess what? No jobs! No interviews! Nothing! I applied to 19 jobs, and there were 15 No's and 3 Cancels, 1 "?". Hmm, well, I didn't win that contest for the most rejects (since I didn't apply to that many jobs anyways).

14 February 2003

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! For all you lucky people who have a Valentine, have a great day! :)

13 February 2003

Note to self: DO NOT STEP OUTSIDE IMMEDIATELY AFTER WASHING HAIR.

I went out this morning... < 100 metres to the V1 Cafeteria and my hair FROZE. It just froze into one clump. Ugh... that can't be good for me.

1 February 2003

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Lucky to all of you that get a holiday - I sure don't although I'm out in Toronto at my aunt's and uncle's place. Heh, had a buffet dinner at Mandarin's somewhere in Toronto. Don't remember being so stuffed EVER!

BTW, this is the first time in a month that I've actually seen grass - the rest of the time everything - EVERYTHING has been covered in snow!

Well, back to work, i guess...

6 January 2003

Hong Kong was lots of fun! Wow... I don't think I've had that much fun since the summer :) But now, it's back to work... while most of you in HK are still relaxing and taking your hoilday....

21 December 2002

Hi everyone! I'm in Toronto at my aunt's place. I'm going to go to the airport and I'll be getting back to HK on the 23rd, at 7am! See you all there!

Whooee.... 20 hours in transit...

Season's Greetings everyone!

20 December 2002

Whoa! It's been two whole months since I've updated! Yeah, I've just been too busy with exams and stuff like that. They're seriously putting all of us (Waterloo students) through to hell and back. Hopefully I'll survive and live to NOT get "the call" (you know what I mean). I'm in Toronto right now, pleasant weather at 8°C... it's the first time I've seen grass for a month!

Well, I'll be flying back to Hong Kong and arriving back on the 23rd. 18 hours on a plane, plus 2 hours stopover. Wow. And I arrive at 7am as well.

Anyways, it's late. I'm going to bed. Good night everyone!

29 October 2002

Argh! My midterm marks are back, and it's leading me to wonder whether or not I'll still be at Waterloo (dead or alive) come January. Oh well, take it one step at a time, I suppose! At least I passed! (just barely, but still)

Now it's time to catch up on all the work we've been set and I've had no time to do since I was studying! Oh my gosh!

We just set our clocks back an hour, so I'm THIRTEEN hours behind Hong Kong now, (for those of you who are really that bad at maths, subtract one from the current time in Hong Kong and change the AM/PM.

Snow forecast for Friday, by the way. Brrrrrr.... collllllld.

14 October 2002

Yawn... so tired. I don't know why I've been this tired, but it's probably just Waterloo taking its toll on me and my well being. I got 75% on my practice midterm, and not exactly too happy with myself (although it's comforting to know that I am in the modal group). Median mark was 75%.

So far, life's been really busy, except for the times I procrastinate (such as now) and I decide to write up some more stuff for my website. Haha...

And one more thing to all you KGVers out there... half term! Enjoy these little breaks while you can... in fact, my midterms are on the week you have halfterm holiday! (And the week after, too)

Well, back to work. Procrastinated a bit too much already. Cya ;)

11 October 2002

FINALLY! A one-day holiday for Thanksgiving! (You there in the States and at KGV - don't laugh.) This gives me time to catch up on the work that I've been too busy to do. Despite the fact my social life has been put on hold, I still have no time to finish everything... I work 1:30am nights, mainly because if I work later than that I won't be able to stay awake the next morning.

I've decided not to work on real work for 24 hours to let my brain rest a bit. Then... back to work! :D

BTW, my house is like completely empty. I reckon 5/6 of the people have gone home for Thanksgiving.

Got a horrible cold now, so I think I'm going to sleep. I must've caught it the night it dropped to 1 degree out or something like that.

Cya!

4 October 2002

Wow! It's been months since I've even touched this site! Well, just to let you all know, life at Waterloo is very tough, very gruelling, but it's gonna be rewarding in the end (I hope!). The fact that there's stuff the people that did OAC learnt and I didn't at A-Level really makes a big difference in the amount of time I can spend doing stuff other than academic work.

I have classes at 8:30 every day, up till 3:20. Doesn't that sound like KGV??? I'm usually online 24/7 (just that I won't be sitting in front of my computer) . If you want to contact me, just use ICQ and MSN like you've always done, but it'll take me a long time to reply, that's all!

Hope everything's going well for everyone else!

Hmm, really windy - we anticipate it's going to be very stormy tonight.

It's 5:20pm right now, just got back after handing in a project. Luckily it's not raining! I didn't have an umbrella with me all of today!

Hopefully I'll find some time this weekend to put some new stuff on this site!
